Audio and transcription
Microphone audio is recorded only while the visible Listening indicator is active. Audio is processed locally using the model included with PressSpeak and deleted after transcription. PressSpeak does not send audio to us or retain it as history.
Transcripts and clipboard
Completed dictation is inserted into the app you are using or copied to the clipboard. PressSpeak does not retain transcripts as history or sync them. When automatic paste is used, your prior clipboard contents are restored afterward.
Trial and purchase information
The seven-day trial is managed on your Mac using a start date and last-seen date stored in the app’s macOS Keychain item. Those values are not uploaded to PressSpeak.
Core Lifetime is processed by Apple through StoreKit. Payment information is entered into Apple’s purchase interface and is not available to PressSpeak. The app reads Apple-signed lifetime entitlement information locally.
Permissions
Microphone access records your dictation. Input Monitoring detects the shortcut you choose, and Accessibility pastes completed text using Command-V. PressSpeak does not use these permissions for analytics, profiling, or advertising.
